Amit Shah arrives in Odisha to strengthen BJP grassroots

Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah today arrived in Odisha on a three-day visit to review various programmes launched by the party for strengthening its grassroots organisation in the state.

Shah reached Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here at around 1.10 pm and was warmly received by BJP state president Basant Panda, BJP legislature party leader KV Singhdeo, party’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra among others.

He was then taken taken to the State Guest House in a procession by the party workers.

Shah will review the progress of ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’, ‘Sankalp ru Siddhi’ and ‘Nutan Odisha Nirman’ programmes launched to strengthen the party, said Panda.

As per schedule, Shah will hold meeting with party’s national and state leaders at the state BJP office in the afternoon.

He is also scheduled to meet intellectuals and eminent citizens at Hotel Pal Heights, Jaydev Vihar here in the evening.

The BJP chief will visit the Lingaraj Temple here tomorrow at 8.30 am. He will preside over several meetings in six phases from 9.30 am to 12.55 pm tomorrow at the party office.

On the final day of his visit, Shah is scheduled to address booth-level workers at Janta Maidan here.
