Anganwadi worker gets 3 years in jail in Odisha for securing job on fake certificate
Boudh: A local court in Boudh district sentenced an Anganwadi worker to 3 years imprisonment for securing job on forged certificate.
Pronouncing the sentence in a fake certificate case, Judge Suvankar Mohanty of Harabhanga JMFC Court awarded three years jail and fine of Rs 5,000 to Anganwadi worker Pushpanjali Jagdala for getting the job in Anganwadi on the basis of forged documents obtained the name of Singari High School.
Based on an RTI query, an allegation in this regard was made with the concerned official following which the case was registered at the Harabhanga Police Station.
On the basis of statements recorded from 10 witnesses, the JMFC Court convicted the accused and heard the jail sentence yesterday.
