Annual Plus Two evaluation begins in Odisha

Evaluation of papers of this year’s annual Plus Two examinations began in Odisha today.

Plus 2 evaluationThe evaluation of all papers of Arts, Commerce and Vocational and Science (compulsory and optional) will be conducted in two phases. While the first phase evaluation would be held from March 30 to April 12, the second phase would commence from April 13 to 27.

The online evaluation of Science papers would begin from April 6, CHSE officials said.

For off-line evaluation of about 21 lakh papers, the Council has engaged 12,000 examiners while 3000 examiners have been engaged for online evaluation of 4.21 lakh Science papers.

While the offline evaluation is underway at 50 Centres, the online evaluation would be held at 28 centres.

It may be mentioned that as per the directive of the Higher Education department, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has decided to conduct online evaluation of five papers of Science i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology this year.

The Council has made it mandatory for each examiner to remain at the evaluation centre for five hours.

The Council, this year has increased the evaluation fee from Rs 10 to Rs 15 per paper.

It may be mentioned that the Council, as per the directive of the Higher Education department, had entrusted the scanning and uploading of answer sheets to the TCS. The scanning was held at the Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies (NCDS).
