Another 20 chitfund firms get notice in Odisha

Cuttack: In ongoing probe into multi-crore chitfund scam in Odisha, the Commission headed by Justice Madan Mohan Das issued notice to another 20 ponzi firms over small depositors.

The chitfund firms included Star Consultancy Pvt Ltd, SLB Estate (India) Ltd, Srivilas Securities Ltd, Sunmarg Welfare Society, SKM India Worldventures, Sprint Group of Companies, Success Online Services System Pvt Ltd, Evergreen Insurance Advisory Pvt Ltd, Sunshine Global Agro Ltd, Silicon Projects India Ltd, Swabhiman Developers Ltd, Tower Group, Subha Satya Investment Solutions Ltd, You Source Ltd, Tresty Securities Limited, Trident Link Pvt Ltd, Tripura Multi Services Pvt Ltd, Unique Group of Companies, Euro Agro India Ltd and Utkal Bharati.

Justice MM Das Commission issued notice to these chitfund companies asking to make their stand clear about the number of small depositors (persons who have deposited amount upto Rs 10,000).

The hearing in the cases will be held between third and fourth week of November.

Earlier, the Commission had issued to 13 ponzi firms after verifying the affidavits submitted by the victims in the fourth phase.
