Another dowry death in Odisha! Man murders wife in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, a person thrashed his wife to death allegedly over dowry demand at Tulinga under Hemgir police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

According to reports, an argument erupted between Sushant Bhoi and his wife Liza, the couple who got married four years ago, over dowry matter last night.

The woman sustained injuries after being thrashed by her husband. She was admitted to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

On the other hand, the family members of the deceased woman have lodged a complaint with police alleging that Sushant murdered his wife demanding more dowry.

Police have started investigation into the incident detaining the accused husband for questioning.

It may be recalled here that a woman was allegedly burnt to death by her in-laws at Dingar village under Begunia police limits in Khordha district.
