Another scam in recrutiment of RIs, amins; this time in Rayagada

Odisha vigilance began investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Revenue Inspectors (RIs), Assistant Revenue Inspectors (ARIs) and amins in Rayagada district  on Friday.

Acting on a complaint filed by Badal Tah, the convenor of the Forum for Social Justice, Rayagada district, the anti-corruption wing seized all documents and files relating to the recruitment from the office of the district collector.

A special Vigilance team, led by Subash Chandra Bisoyee as Investigating Officer (IO), is investigating the case as per the directive of Niti Sekhar, SP, Koraput Vigilance Division.

According to reports, the district administration had come up with an advertisement for recruitment of six RIs, 18 ARIs and three amins in July last year.

Out of a total of 762 candidates who had applied for the post, 634 were eligible for examinations. Cllector Sashi Bhusan Padhi had convened a review meeting after which revised the results were announced.

The administration announced the results of the recruitment test on August 8 this year after conducting the written, viva voce and physical tests of the candidates.

Later, it was revealed that there were rampant irregularities in the recruitment of the candidates.

However, the Koraput Vigilance Division ordered an investigation into the matter after some candidates lodged a complaint.
