Another six students of NIT-Rourkela test Covid positive

Rourkela: The number of Covid positive cases at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela reached 20 today with six more students being tested positive for the viral infection.

Authorities of the NIT, Rourkela informed the six new positive cases including a girl student have been kept in isolation at the institute’s North Guest House.

On March 10, the first Covid positive case was detected at NIT-Rourkela.

As the institute’s Senate decided to conduct semester exam in online mode, authorities intensified Covid test among students before allowing them to leave hostels, said an official.

Also, testing is being conducted after contact tracing of the infected students, the official added.
