Antony takes oath as Rajya Sabha member

New Delhi, April 4:

Former defence minister and Congress leader A.K. Antony on Monday took oath as a Rajya Sabha member. He was re-elected from Kerala to the upper house in March.

Newly elected Rajya Sabha member K.G. Kenye, who was elected to the upper house from Nagaland as the consensus candidate of the ruling Naga People’s Front, also took oath, an official statement said.

Both the members took the oath in the chamber of Vice President Hamid Ansari, who is the chairman of the house, in the parliament building. (IANS)
