Anupam Patnaik directorial ‘Pratikshya’ trailer – a peep into middle class youth’s struggles

Bhubaneswar: The trailer of Odia movie ‘Pratikshya’ was released today at a city-based hotel here in the presence of its starcast and the team and members of the Ollywood industry.

The trailer drops enough hints that the movie, inspired from a short story my eminent writer Gourahari Das, portrays daily struggles of a middle-class youth who’s caught up between what is required of him and what’s available on the table.

The over 3-minute trailer opens with Dipanwit Dashmohapatra, playing a middle-class youth Sanjay, knocking every door and resorting to every possible way to land a government job. Only that would ensure a secured future for him and his family, he believes.

Harmless banters with friends, arguments with father and some loving moments with his lady love pretty much sum up Sanjay’s daily life until one day when his father gets hospitalized. Sanjay’s world seems to fall apart after his father’s admission in a hospital. Failing to share his emotions and dilemma about life, career ad responsibilities towards family, Sanjay begins to close off.

Does he manage to find a solution? Does he get his dream job? What does he do next?
