The process of application for the Special OJEE Test-2015 mandated by the directive of the High Court began in Odisha today.
The Special OJEE Test for B Tech (Engineering) courses, scheduled on July 19, would be held for admission in the seats remaining after the admission of students who had obtained ranks in the JEE Main examinations held on May 10 this year in which more than 46,000 students had appeared.
Talking to the media today, OJEE chairman Tushar Kumar Nath said the students can apply online for the course on the OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in from June 16 to 22.
“The students will be provided the admit card from July 10. The results of the test would be announced on July 27 and the students will be provided their rank card the same day," he said.
The two-hour long test will have 90 marks with 30 multiple choice questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
“The test would begin at 9 AM for which the students have been asked to report at their respective centres by 8.30 AM,” Nath said.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the all India ranks of the JEE Main examination between June 24 and July 7 after which the OJEE would begin the process of admission in the B.Tech Engineering courses in the state, he informed.
It may be mentioned that the Odisha Private Engineering College Association (OPECA) had moved the Odisha High Court alleging that there have been large number of vacant seats in most of the technical institutes in the state due to JEE Main examination.
The court, after hearing the case, had ordered for a Special OJEE test in the state, in its order on March 24 this year.
