Art exhibition in honour of renowned Odisha painter

Bhubaneswar, June 13:

Artists from across the country and outside have been invited to send their best creation for ‘Shraddhanjali– 2014-A Visual Tribute’- an art display to pay tribute to renowned painter from Odisha, Late Prof. Byomakesh Mohanty.

The art exhibition will start from July 22 this year and will culminate on July 25. The four-day exhibition will be held at Lalit Kala Academy Regional Art Centre in Kharavela Nagar here.

All working artists of Asian countries are eligible to participate irrespective of sex, age, nationality and region.

Before sending the art work, artists have to fill up the requisite form and send the scanned copy of the form to [email protected] and [email protected] along with photos of two of their recent painting/drawing/print/ photography/sculpture/digital art, close-up photo of the artist in good resolutions, short bio data and a scanned image of bank receipt contributing Rs.1000 on or before 22nd June this month.

The contribution amount should be deposited in Artist’s Association of Orissa – AAO, Savings Bank Account number: 12062191022822 of Oriental Bank of Commerce, Ravi Talkies Branch, Bhubaneswar, India, MICR Code: 751022004, IFS Code: ORBC0101206.

The bank draft can also be made in favour of Meenaketan Pattnaik, Savings Account number: 912010054828307 of Axis Bank, CRPF Square Branch, Bhubaneswar, India, IFS Code: UTIB0000551.

Meenaketan Pattnaik, organiser of the event informed that after the photo selection, the original art work should be submitted at the following address with proper packing by courier to Meenaketan Pattnaik, Faculty, B K College of Art & Crafts, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar-751030, Odisha, India between 5th to 10th July 2014.

The size of the art work should be within minimum 1 ft x 1 ft and maximum 3 ft x 3 ft. The art works will be returned back in the evening on 25th July 2014 from the exhibition venue, if not sold. Fifteen percent of the sale price will be deducted as service charge in case of sale. One artist can participate in any one category only, Pattnaik added.
