Asian U-18 girls, U-19 boys Rugby Championship in Odisha from Dec 11

The Asian U-18 Girls 7-a-side and U-19 Boys 15-a-side Rugby Championship, jointly organized by the Odisha Rugby Football Association (ORFA) and the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU), would begin at KIIT University stadium here from December 11.

A total of 288 players and 30 technical officials would participate in the four-day event that would conclude on December 14, said ORFA president and local MLA Priyadarshi Mishra at a press briefing here on Friday.

Apart from India, teams from Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Laos, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, UAE, Cambodia and the India would also participate in the international event.

The teams are expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar on or before December 8, he added.
