Astro-psephology ! Astrologer predicts hung Assembly, fall of Naveen govt

While wannabe psephologists and election managers of political parties are scratching their heads over the possible outcome of the polls in Odisha, the predictions of a well-known astrologer has generated great interest among the people- and panic, in the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) circles, irrespective of the fact that astrology has been as bad as psephology when it comes to poll predictions.

Jyotirvid Pramod Patra, a renowned astrologer, predicts a hung Assembly and the fall of the Naveen Patnaik government in Odisha.

He has also says Narendra Modi may not make it to the PM’s chair and that there will be re-election in the country before May 2017.

Patra says there will be hung legislatures both in Odisha and at the Centre and that alliance governments both in Odisha and at the Centre as no party would be able get absolute majority.

He also says BJD supremo and chief minister Naveen Patnaik would lose popularity due to malefic planetary positions in his horoscope.

“Taking the planetary positions of Patnaik’s horoscope into consideration, there is a bad period from April 23, 2014 to July 26, 2014 which indicates that there is every possibility that he would not be able to remain in power,” he claimed.

According to the astrologer, the ruling BJD is likely to win in 58 Assembly seats, there is a possibility that the opposition Congress and BJP might get 40-45 seats each. He says there are indications that that the newly formed Ama Odisha Party (AOP) led by Soumya Ranjan Patnaik may win more than four Assembly seats.

“The coalition government in Odisha and the Centre would be formed with support from the Congress”, Patra says.

The astrologer also predicts that the people’s mandate would not go in favour of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the 2014 elections due to hostile planetary positions in his horoscope.

“As per my calculations, there would be re-election in the country before May 7, 2017”, Patra points out.
