Athmallik bus accident: Odisha CM announces ex-gratia

Condoling the loss of lives in the bus accident at Athmallik in Angul district, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the family members of each deceased.
Patnaik also directed for free treatment of those persons who sustained injuries in the accident.

Notably, at least 19 persons were killed and around 30 injured when a bus in which they were travelling fell off a bridge near Puruna Manitri here in Odisha’s Angul district today.
While 14 persons died on the spot, five succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at hospital.
