Babushaan appears before police for interrogation; likely to visit wife

Bhubaneswar: A week after a case filed by Ollywood star Babushaan’s wife Trupti Satpathy against him and actor Prakruti Mishra, the actor appeared before the police for interrogation here today.

Accompanied by mother Aparajita Mohanty, Babushaan reached the Kharavela Nagar Police Station amid crowd on his birthday.

He entered into the police station to cooperate the cops in investigation into allegations brought by his wife.

Following interrogation, he is likely to visit his wife and one and a half years son to celebrate his birthday with family.

Earlier in the day, the actor had made a public appearance and waved at his fans, who were eagerly waiting with flowers and bouquets to greet him on his birthday, at balcony of his house at Jagannath Vihar in Baramunda area.

Later, he moved out of his residence in a car and proceeded toward Kharavela Nagar Police Station for interrogation.

Earlier this week, a team of Kharavela Nagar Police had interrogated Prakruti Mishra in connection with the case.

Sources said that his family and close aides are trying to sort out issues between Babushaan and Trupti, who has brought serious allegations against the actor and his co-actor Prakruti Mishra.

On the basis of the complaint, the Kharavela Nagar Police had registered a case under Sections 506 and 498(A) of the IPC against the popular cine star.

Recently, the actor had moved the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the case.

Yesterday, an audio clip had surfaced in media featuring ‘close’ conversation between two actors.
