Bhubaneswar, Mar 11:

Government Railways Police (GRP) has launched a manhunt to nab the unidentified culprit after the mother of a two-month-old baby girl Anita Rathod (20) lodged a complaint that her baby child had been kidnapped.

Though the incident took place on March 8, it came to light only yesterday after Anita, who hails from Bijapur of Karnataka, lodged a complaint in this regard with the GRP.

Inspector-in-charge of GRP, Bhubaneswar Saubhagya Kumar Swain said Anita had reached the city by Prasanti Express on March 8. She had gone to buy a packet of biscuits leaving her daughter in platform number-4. But when she returned, she found her two-month-old daughter missing at the spot. Unable to trace her baby even after three days, she lodged a complaint with the GRP yesterday, Swain added.

The GRP police have registered a case if kidnapping case and have launched a manhunt.

Anita, who got married four years ago to Muna Sahu (25), a resident of Handappa of Angul district,  had reached the city on January 21 along with her husband, two-year-old son and two-month old daughter.

Both of them were employed in a cosmetic cream factory in Gujarat after leaving Bangalore where the couple had worked in a biscuit factory some months back.
