Bali Jatra not to be held in Bhubaneswar this year

Bhubaneswar: This year’s Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra on Kuakhai riverbank has been cancelled in view of the COVID-19 situation, informed Twin City Police Commissionerate today.

A decision in this regard was taken for the safety of public after a discussion with the members of the Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra Mahotsav Committee.

The Bali Jatra event in the capital city will be held next year if the pandemic situation improves, the Commissionerate Police said.

Earlier, historic Cuttack Bali Jatra was also cancelled due to the same reason.
