Ballot box looted, thrown into river in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara, Feb 13:

Miscreants looted ballot box from a polling booth of Jagdalpur panchayat under Patkura assembly constituency of Odisha’s Kendrapara district today and threw it into river.

According to reports, the miscreants decamped with the ballot box from booth no 14 of the Jagdalpur panchayat. They later threw it into a nearby river.

On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the box from the water body.

All the ballot papers inside the box were found to be damaged, reports said.
