Bandh observed in Odisha’s Cuttack city over multiple demands

Cuttack: The Odisha Hindu Sena and Cuttack Sadar Suraksha Committee are observing a 12-hour dawn-to-dusk bandh in the city demanding fulfilment of their several demands.

Giving the bandh call, members of the associations had yesterday taken out a motorcycle rally in the city seeking support of the public. However, no major effect of the bandh on normal life was felt in the city this morning.

The demands of the agitators are relaxation in vehicle checking after implementation of the new MV Act, repair of roads and establishment of vending zones for evicted small traders.

They are also protesting relocation of some government offices from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar.
