Bandh observed in Odisha’s Anandpur demanding rail connectivity

Anandpur, Sep 1:

Normal life was affected in Anandpur of Odisha’s Keonjhar district today due to a bandh called by Sachetan Nagarik Sangh and Maa Dhanei Seva Sangh demanding railway connectivity to the region.

Though there was no effect of the bandh on vehicular movement, government offices and banks here remained closed, sources said.

Anandpur Press Club and Lawyers Association extended their support to the bandh.

“Anandpur Lawyers Association called for a cease-work today supporting the bandh. We hope that the Central Government will fulfill the demands of the denizens of Anandpur soon,” said Sanjay Kumar Mishra, president of the association.
