Bank loot in Odisha capital: Police identify accused, form spl squad

The Twin City Commissionerate police have identified the five robbers involved in the UCO bank loot in Odisha capital on September 28, informed Police Commissioner YB Khurania today.

The gang was also involved in bank robbery in Jharsuguda and Kubra in Chhattisgarh, Khurania said.

A special squad has been formed to nab the accused, he added.

Meanwhile, police have prepared sketches of the five dacoits on the basis of descriptions given by the bank staff and customers who were present at the bank during the incident. The sketches are being matched with those of notorious robbers, sources said.

Notably, five armed miscreants had looted over Rs 13 lakh and gold ornaments weighing around one kg from UCO bank’s Bapujinagar branch in Odisha capital on September 28.
