Banks to remain closed on these three days

Bhubaneswar: Banking services will be affected for three days starting from January 31. Cash withdrawals and deposits will be stopped as bank employees will not turn up to work for these three days.

Banks’ unions have declared they will observe a countrywide strike on January 31 and February 1 after wage revisions talks with the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) failed. Apart from this, the banks will remain closed on February 2 which falls on a Sunday.

Worth mentioning, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey on January 31 and budget on February 1.

Banking services were affected on January 8 as well as thousands of employees joined a bank strike in several parts of the country.
