Barsa spotted with hubby Rajashree at yajna in Odisha’s Jajpur

In an apparent bid to fortify their reunion, Rajashree Mohanty, son of former Odisha Minister Raghunath Mohanty, and his wife Barsa Swony Choudhury performed rites at a ‘Biswashanti Maha Yajna’ at Byasanagar in Jajpur district today.

After staying apart for over 3 years, the couple had announced their reunion at a press conference in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

“The misunderstanding between the two families have been sorted out. We both have decided to live together as husband-wife,” Barsa had said at the press conference.

“The decision to reunite is completely personal and no one has pressurized us to take the step,” Rajashree had said after the reunion.

Notably, in 2013, Barsa had filed a case against husband Rajashree and his family, alleging that her in-laws demanded a sum of Rs 25 lakh and a vehicle from her as dowry but when she declined, they started torturing her.
