BDA official arrested for graft in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Aug 28:
A senior assistant of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) was today arrested on graft charges by sleuths of Vigilance Bhubaneswar division in Odisha capital.

The arrested BDA official, working in planning section, was identified as Bijay Ketan Brahma.
Brahma was caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 3000 from a person, who hails from Talagada under Balianta police limits, to provide a no objection certificate (NOC) necessary to operate a brick kiln.
A case has been registered against Brahma and was produced in a local court here this evening.
