Beneficiaries can avail services under BSKY in govt MCHs

Bhubaneswar: The beneficiaries under the recently launched Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) can avail health coverage of upto Rs 5 lakh per family in all the State-run medical colleges and hospitals across Odisha.

According to a statement issued by the Health and Family Welfare department, people can get the benefits under the health insurance scheme in all the government hospitals and 208 empanelled private hospitals in the State.

Besides, people irrespective of their economic condition can get free healthcare services in all the public health centres and district headquarters hospitals under the scheme.

The Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on August 15 rejecting the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme. Under the State scheme, the women members of a family will avail health coverage upto Rs 7 lakh per annum.
