Bhubaneswar: As the first consignment of COVID-19 vaccine Covishield  has reached Odisha, the Commissionerate Police today cautioned the people of the state capital to be careful of fraudulent calls in the name of registration for vaccination .

Speaking to mediapersons here, DCP Umashankar Dash today said while the vaccination is set to begin in the state, fraudsters have gotten a new technique to cheat people. They have started calling people in the name of registration for COVID-19 vaccine, said the DCP cautioning people not to share their personal details with anyone to save themselves from being trapped by such fraudsters.

The prime requirement of all cyber fraudsters is personal data of the people. Once the anti-socials get people’s personal details, they can easily dupe people of money, he added.
