BH series registration rolled out for vehicles owned by Odias staying outside Odisha

Cuttack: The State Transport Authority (STA) has a gift for Odia people residing outside the state on occasion of Dhanteras. The transport authority allowed Odias residing outside the State to get Bharat (BH) series registration in Odisha.

A vehicle purchased outside Odisha bearing the Temporary Certificate Registration issued by the Registering Authority of that State can be registered in Odisha under BH series subject to fulfillment of requisite conditions.

“The vehicle owner must have residence or place of business in Odisha,” a statement issued by the STA mentioned.

Worth mentioning, Odisha is the first state to introduce the BH series in the country. Till date, a total of 182 BH series numbers have been issued in India, out of which 81 (45%) have been issued in Odisha.

With an aim to help those who have to move from one state to another the Bharat (BH) series centralised registration for private vehicles came into effect from September 15, 2021 in Odisha.
