Bhitarkanika National Park to remain closed from today

Kendrapara: The Bhitarkanika National Park in Odisha’s Kendrapara district will remain closed for visitors from today till July 31, said the Rajanagar Forest Department in a notification.

The wildlife sanctuary remains closed for a period of three months every year in view of the breeding season of estuarine crocodiles, also known as saltwater crocodiles.

During the period, the visitors will be barred from entering into Bhitarkanika, Dangamala and Ragadapati.
