Bhubaneswar airport to have three-star hotel by 2019

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to treat the visitors to Odisha with good hospitality, a three-star hotel will come up at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here by 2019.

According to reports, Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction of the 100-room hotel has already been invited by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

The hotel, to be constructed under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, will comprise a conference hall with a seating capacity of 250, reports added.

Land for the project will be provided by the AAI on lease for 30 years, which might get extended for another 30 years, informed BPIA director Suresh Chandra Hota.

He also said airports at Jharsuguda and Rourkela will be operational from September this year.
