Bhubaneswar cafe owner booked for allowing over 100 people to watch IPL match

Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police have booked the owner of a cafe located in Infocity area of Odisha capital for allegedly allowing more than 100 people to watch IPL match at the cafe, thereby violating COVID-19 guidelines.

According to police sources, the people had gathered at ‘Galaxy Garden’ cafe to watch an IPL match on projector screen without obeying the COVID-19 norms. Acting on an information from Control Room, the Infocity police led by the IIC raided the place.

A case has been registered against Amlan Mishra, owner of the cafe, under Sections 269, 270 of the IPC and Section 3 of the ED Act.

Couple of days ago, Echoes Resto-Bar located at Patia here was sealed for violation of COVID-19 guidelines as a birthday party was organised at the bar.
