Bhubaneswar hottest place again in Odisha

Bhubaneswar:  The State Capital Bhubaneswar became the hottest place again today with recording the maximum day temperature of 41.7 degrees Celsius. The capital city had recorded 43.7 degrees Celsius yesterday.

Though there is a marginal fall in the temperature across the State, according the Met office, the mercury hovered above 40 degrees Celsius in seven stations today.

Angul recorded 41.1 degrees Celsius followed by Sundergarh (40), Bhawanipatna (40), Titlagarh (41), Malkangiri (40.5) and Sonepur (40).

Coastal parts of the State, however, experienced a slight respite.

The Millenium City Cuttack recorded 39.4 degrees Celsius. Paradip (32.4), Balasore (34), Gopalpur (32.1), Puri (33.4) and Baripada (34.8).

The Met Department has predicted that the maximum day temperature across the State is likely to fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next two or three days.
