Bhubaneswar: In what could be termed as a sigh of relief for those commuting through the accident-prone Khandagiri Square in Odisha capital, the Khandagiri flyover was opened for vehicular movement, yesterday.
Construction work of the overbridge had commenced on March 1, 2019. Installation of streetlights on the flyover will be completed within a month, an official of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The flyover is expected to facilitate smooth movement of traffic to and from AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Kanungo Institute of Diabetes Specialties (KIDS) and newly-constructed WelcomHotel by ITC in the area.
