Bhubaneswar: Locals attacked by mentally-challenged man while urinating in open

Bhubaneswar: In a bizarre incident, a mentally-challenged man allegedly attacked and injured around 40 locals in Ekamra Kshetra area of Odisha capital during the last few days while they were urinating in open.

The incident has left the residents of the area panic-stricken. As per eyewitnesses, the attacker has been using an iron rod for thrashing the locals. The mentally-challenged person sleeps during the night at a local BMC hospital and carries three iron rods with him in a bag, they said.

He also attacked two persons who had come to the hospital last evening. The Ekamra Murabi Manch has demanded that the BMC should rescue the attacker immediately and make arrangements for his treatment.
