Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out in a three-storey building at Nandan Vihar in Odisha capital, today.

Following the outbreak of the blaze, fire service personnel promptly conducted the rescue operation, successfully saving three persons. Their condition was stated to be stable.

The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined, with suspicions pointing towards a potential short circuit as the ignition source.

In response to the emergency, two teams from the Fire services were swiftly dispatched to manage the situation. Their concerted efforts led to the complete extinguishing of the flames within a span of a few hours.

According to available information, three occupants who were asleep on the first floor of the building noticed smoke emanating from an air conditioner around 6 am. In response, they promptly alerted the Fire service personnel, who arrived at the location with urgency and effectively quelled the fire.

The trio, including a woman and children, were rescued using a ladder through a window. Initially, they encountered respiratory difficulties due to smoke exposure. Fortunately, after receiving initial medical care, their condition has now stabilized.
