Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Nayayan Jena has tested positive for the deadly COVID-19. However, his condition is stable.
The former Bhubaneswar Mayor had undergone test and his reports came out positive after 11 AM today. He is currently under home quarantine. The MLA took to his Twitter handle to inform about this.
Jena has also requested people, who have come in contact with him recently, to isolate themselves and get the COVID-19 test done.

With this, eight leaders, including a Minister of the ruling BJD, have been infected with the virus.
Yesterday, swab reports of two party leaders- Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) Chairperson and BJD General Secretary Srimayee Mishra and Odisha Small Industries Corporation Chairperson Chinmoy Kumar Sahoo- came out positive.
On August 17, Rural Development, Labour and Employees’ State Insurance Minister Susanta Singh tested positive for COVID-19.
Besides, Khandapada MLA and Editor of ‘Sambad’ Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Polasara MLA Srikant Sahu, Remuna MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar Parida and Salepur MLA Prasant Behera tested positive for the virus.
