Bhubaneswar: Nursing student died by suicide over insomnia, reveals ‘suicide note’

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development in the nursing girl student Kuni Kanhar suicide case in Odisha capital, a handwritten note, suspected to have been written by her, has come to fore.

As per the note, she was struggling to sleep properly for which the girl took the extreme step of ending her life.

Holding no one responsible for her death, she has apologised her family members and friends in the note.

Police have seized the note while efforts were on to ascertain whether it was written by her or not.

Kuni, a first year nursing student who hailed from Balangir district, was found hanging under mysterious circumstances inside a hostel room of the private nursing college located at Jamukoli under Airfield police limits on the outskirts of the city, last night.

The hostel authorities had recently telephoned the girl’s parents asking them to take her home as she was under mental stress, reports said.
