Bhubaneswar reports 9 new COVID cases. Here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Number of active COVID-19 cases in Odisha capital mounted to 72 as nine more persons of the city tested positive for the virus, official sources said today.

While three of them have been identified as employees of a COVID hospital here, four are home quarantine cases and two are local contact cases. On the other hand, a 25-year-old man of Damana area here tested negative for the virus and recovered from the disease.

Here are details of the fresh 9 COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar:

Home Quarantine Cases

  • 1 case of Chandrasekharpur, BDA Colony, a 29-year-old woman with travel history to Bihar.
  • 1 case of Bhimpur, near Airport, a 46-year-old man with travel history to Delhi.
  • 1 case of Bhimpur, Unit-6, a 23-year-old woman with travel history to Kolkata.
  • 1 case of Nirankari Nagar, Salia Sahi, a 19-year-old youth linked with an earlier positive case with travel history to Delhi.

COVID Warriors

  • 3 COVID warriors– a 36-year-old man, a 37-year-old man, and a 30-year-old woman– all employees of a COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Local Contact Cases

  • 2 cases of Gadakana, Mahima Nagar of a family– a 53-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy– linked with an earlier positive case who is an employee of a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
