Bhubaneswar Unit-I Haat shifted to new location amid COVID surge

Bhubaneswar: The Unit-I Haat (vegetable market) in the capital city was today shifted to the Unit-I Boys High School playground to ensure decongestion and social distancing amid rise in COVID-19 cases.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked the vendors to maintain a minimum distance of 8 feet between two shops.

Marks have been created on ground for customers to maintain social distancing of 6 feet among themselves.

The shopkeepers have been directed to make sure that the customers adhere to COVID-19 guidelines while buying vegetables from their shops.

Use of masks and hand sanitizers have also been emphasized by the civic body.

The BMC has also warned of stringent action against violation of the COVID-19 norms at the vegetable market.
