Bhubaneswar: Odisha witnessed highest ever spike in COVID-19 cases after 1833 more persons tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s tally mounted to 42,550 informed the Government.
While 1118 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres, remaining 715 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.
The fresh cases have been reported from 29 districts. Khordha district today surpassed Ganjam by reporting highest 298 positive while the hotspot southern district registered 279 cases.
