Bike theft racket busted in Odisha; 52 vehicles recovered

Police today busted a bike lifting gang with the recovery of 52 motor cycles and arrest of 12 persons involved in the incident in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district.

According to reports, Town Police today yesterday apprehended Sanjay Keshari from Badagaon and Krupanidhi Mahanandia of Sabdega while disposing of a theft two-wheeler. The duo was arrested and subjected to intense grilling.

Following rounds of interrogation, the two spilled the beans on their modus operandi and others involved in the crime which led to arrest of other 10 persons involved in the racket.

In what could be said as an achievement for the police, the cops busted the gang and recovered 52 vehicles.

They were forwarded to court today.
