Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, May 4:

The controversy over Odisha Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra’s questions to the Chief Minister over his party’s chit fund connections today spilled out to the streets as BJD and Congress both demonstrated against each other in Bhubaneswar.

Narasingha Mishra protests

Activists of Yuva Biju Janata Dal, led by Bhubaneswar North MLA Priyadarshi Mishra and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Anant Narayana Jena, staged a demonstration at Master canteen square and demanded the Leader of Opposition to take back his questions.

BJD workers also burnt an effigy of Leader of Opposition Mishra and demanded an unconditional apology from him apart from seeking his resignation.

Similarly, Congress’ students wing — National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) — led by its President Itish Pradhan held a demonstration at the same place and burnt an effigy of Naveen Patnaik. They went on to block the road for a while demanding the Chief Minister to answer Mishra’s questions.
