BJD gears up to celebrate foundation day in Odisha

On the occasion of its 17th foundation day celebration in Odisha today, the ruling Biju Janata Dal has made elaborate arrangements at the district level.

The party, including its headquarters office at Bhubaneswar, has made massive arrangements to celebrate the foundation day in 32 organisational districts in which all party workers of the districts, leaders, MLAs, ministers and party observers would participate.

BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to attend the occasion at the party’s headquarters office here in a short while from now.

Though the BJD had registered massive victory in the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls this year, the party image has been considerably tarnished following the ongoing CBI probe into chit fund scam, illegal allotment of government plots and houses under discretionary quota and Ghangapatna land scam.

Considering the above, all eyes are on the address of the chief minister.

Besides, the party would also discuss about several welfare schemes introduced by the state government and make plans to facilitate the people to avail these programmes.
