The leaders of Vyasanagar Municipality today met Patnaik along with party General Secretary Debi Prasad Mishra and a decision was taken by the BJD councillors to abstain from trust vote against Vyasanagar civic body chairperson.

Addressing reporters after the meeting, Mishra  — in presence of Korei MLA Akash Das Nayak, Vyasanagar Municipality Chairperson Sabita Rout and Sukinda MLA Priti Ranjan Ghadai (all BJD leaders) — informed that all the councillors have sorted out their difference and are united now.

He further made it clear that they will not take part in the confidence vote scheduled to be held tomorrow against Rout.

“The issue has been sorted out following party chief Naveen Patnaiks’ intervention. Everyone has agreed to abide by his orders. BJD is a big house. Different opinions are bound to exist. However, there is nothing alarming,” said Mishra.

It may be mentioned here that some of the rebel BJD councillors along with some of the Congress members had urged Jajpur collector for a trust vote against Rout last month.
