Jhina Hikaka will be BJD’s Lok Sabha candidate in Koraput and Hemendra Singh will contest the Kandhamal Lok Sabha seat. Hema Gamang will be the candidate for the Laxmipur assembly seat.
This was announced by BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik today while declaring the third list of candidates for 21 assembly and two Lok Sabha seats for the first phase of polls.
The party has re-nominated Sugnani Kumari Deo for Kabisuryanagar in place of Latika Pradhan who was given the ticket for that seat earlier.
Rabi Nanda will contest from his old seat Jeypore while Ashok Pangi is the party candidate from Kotpad. The Polsara candidate is Srikant Sahu.
Six sitting MLAs have been dropped.
They are, Debendra Kanhar-Phulbani, Khageswar Behera-Chhendipada, Ramamurty Mutika-Gunpur, Niranjan Pradhan-Polasara, Kasinath Mallick-Daspalla and Raghuram Padal-Koraput.
