BJD worker injured in poll violence in Odisha

Cuttack, Feb 16:

A Biju Janata Dal (BJD) worker was injured in a clash between two groups supporting the conch party at Dorada panchayat under Athagarh block in Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

The victim, identified as Jutu Bhoi, was admitted to Athagarh hospital.

According to reports, two Sarpanch candidates of Dorada panchayat, both women, are claiming themselves to be BJD-supported candidates.

A conflict had arisen between husbands of the two women over the matter which turned violent today as two BJD-supporting groups clashed in front of Dorada panchayat office injuring Jutu.
