BJP to intensify membership drive in Odisha from Jan 23

Bhubaneswar, Jan 11:

Pratap Sarangi, pravari (in charge) of the BJP’s membership drive in Odisha and former MLA, today said the party has decided to intensify the process from January 23, the birth anniversary of freedom Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, by involving 46,000 permanent members – party representatives and office bearers both at the booth as well as district level.

This campaign of quick registration of members will continue till January 25.

Each party representatives will have to fan out to the 36,000 booths in the state and rope in 100 persons each into the party fold.

“BJP national president Amit  Shah has already shown the way by admitting 108 persons into the party at Dhauli on the outskirt of the city during his recent visit. Every party representatives has been given the task to adding 100 persons to the party during the drive. They would work from morning till evening in these three days,” Sarango said.

“By 31st March, our party aims to have 40 lakh members. So far more than 7 lakh persons have been added in the membership drive in the state,” said the firebrand BJP leader.

On January 20, the state party will organize training camps at various locations in the state in which the permanent office bearers of the party will sensitize the newly added members on the BJP’s core ideology, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s modle of good governance, various yojanas and the party’ s do or don’t.
