BJP leader killed over past enmity in Odisha

Mahanga: A BJP leader was allegedly murdered by some miscreants over past enmity in Odisha’s Cuttack district today evening. The deceased was identified as Kulamani Baral, the BJP’s Salepur in-charge and former Mahanga Block Chairman.

As per reports, Kulamani along with associate Dibyasingh Baral was returning home on Shukanai embankment road in a vehicle. More than six miscreants attacked Kulamani and his associate injuring the two critically in the darkness.

With the help of locals, the two injured were immediately taken in an ambulance to the Mahanga hospital where doctors declared Kulamani as brought dead. His associate was shifted to the SCB Hospital in Cuttack in a critical condition.

Though the exact reason is not known, previous enmity is suspected to have led the attack.

The local administration deployed police as tension prevailed in the area following the incident.
