BJP suspends 3 state executive members for anti-party activities

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which had to face a humiliating defeat in the recently concluded civic polls on Friday suspended three members of the party’s state executive for indiscipline and anti-party activities.

“We have suspended Murali Manohar Sharma of Barbil, Tusarkanti Jena from Bhadrak and Ajay Das of Bolangir from the party for making anti-party statements in the media and have also asked them to submit their replies within 10 days,” said Suresh Pujari, chief spokesperson of the party.

These three suspended members of the BJP’s state executive had held parallel meetings and questioned the style of functioning of senior leaders. They had no permission from the party for holding such meetings, Pujari added. (MM)
