Speaking at the Agenda Aaj Tak – 2014 conclave, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president said the voters of Jammu and Kashmir wanted development and will vote for the party.

“The media is still busy in dividing the voters of the state along religious lines. We are fighting the polls on issues like electricity, water and education…I am sure the BJP will win in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Expressing confidence that the BJP would register a thumping victory in West Bengal, he dismissed allegations by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that the BJP is using the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to intimidate her.

“The accused in the Saradha scam as well as the Burdwan blast are related to the TMC (Trinamool Congress). If the CBI has a political motive then let Mamata ji say that these people are innocent,” Shah said.

“I am confident that the BJP will fare very, very well in Bengal and we will be successful in forming a government there,” Shah said. (IANS)
