BJP’s ‘Jabab Maguchhi Odisha’ campaign kicks off

Bhubaneswar: Couple of days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi posed several questions over the performance of the ruling BJD in Odisha, the ‘Jabab Maguchhi Odisha’ campaign of the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), BJP’s youth wing, kicked off here today in the presence of Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram and other senior leaders of the party.

Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pradhan said, “A CM talking about 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and State legislatures must clarify how many women ministers are there in his cabinet.”

“At a time when rape victims across the state and children suffering from malnutrition are crying, the CM is shedding crocodile tears,” he added.

Under the campaign, specially-designed vehicles carrying BJYM activists will reach every village of all the 147 Assembly constituencies of the state to seek public opinion on the performance of the BJD-led Odisha Government.

“The aim of the campaign is to give an opportunity to the people of Odisha to seek answers from the State Government over their problems and issues. Questions asked by the public will be recorded and sent to the Government for reply,” said State BJYM president Tankadhar Tripathy.

“Failures of the Government will be highlighted during the campaign and lies told by the BJD through advertisements will be exposed,” he said, adding that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has failed to keep his promise made in the 2014 election manifesto.
